Modern methods of manufacturing involve computer numerical controlled equipment that, once programmed, will replicate the product or sub-assembly exactly. Once the programme is produced, it captures in a data file, all the dimensional detail of the product and the instructions for the operation of the equipment. There are system rules and parameters that must be obeyed; this is a fundamental difference to constructing a building using traditional build techniques."
